I’m here in Franklin, Tennessee, to honor James Goll’s 50 years in vocational ministry. He’s an elder statesman of the Faith—one whose teachings and mentorship I have benefitted from for many years!

Leaving the deep winter of Melbourne, Australia, and arriving in Tennessee’s summer warmth and sunshine is welcome. I’m being blessed on every side by kindhearted Americans, all strangers, since I am yet to meet those I’m here for.

After having a great coffee (the jet lag is very real), I was heading back to my accommodation when an upright young man approached me on the street. He was a street evangelist called Zachery, and he was raising money for a new church plant in the area. After a brief chat, I asked him if I could pray for him. Without hesitation, he said yes, and so with his head bowed and the Holy Spirit swirl of anointing, I called forth his prophetic destiny, blessing him with a street evangelism anointing, an apostolic impact, and a gift of discernment, wisdom, and longevity. He looked at me and said the word resonated with all his pastor and others had prophesied over his life. We had a brief chat about the importance of wisdom, and I explained that a shooting star in ministry might be impressive, but longevity in ministry was most important. I also encouraged him to keep being authentic, something the world is longing for in Christians, and suggested he look up James Goll as an elder in the church as an excellent example of integrity mixed with longevity of service to the Lord.

Delighted I had the chance to bless another, I turned the corner where another street evangelist approached me.

Estefan was a gentle soul. I smiled and said I had just prayed for Zachery. Would he like me to pray for him too?

His answer in the affirmative was immediate, so I took his upturned hand and released a prophetic destiny over him too. He swayed in the anointing, as had Zachery—both young men hungered for a touch from the Holy Spirit.

While both needed discernment, what I saw over Estefan was different. I could sense he had an underdeveloped gift of healing, so I encouraged him to step out and lay hands on the sick, saying he would see healings. I shared he would see the healing of physical ailments, and mental ones too. It was fascinating, because I saw something over him I had never seen before. I saw him praying for people and as he did, demonic spirits flew out of them, leaving them free from torment and oppression. I explained what I saw and encouraged him to grow in his gift. Discerning that he also dreamed a lot, and getting an affirmative response, I suggested he get a copy of James Goll’s book, “Dream Interpretation” as a wonderful place to start his educational journey.

He pulled out his phone and took down the details, Googling the book as we spoke. He was hungry to grow!

It’s a privilege to stop for the one in other countries. To release spiritual gifts, call forth destinies, and bless is something that never grows old.

I walked on, feeling the warmth of the sun and the gentle presence of the Holy Spirit, and thanked God for the opportunities presented. Everywhere we go, God goes with us, and whether the one before us is a pre-believer or believer, he wants us to bless others as we journey through our life because…

God is Good!
