22-02-2022… 22nd February 2022.
The day and the month are the mirror image of the year.
A pivotal day, in a pivotal time in history.
Noise, action, conflict, busyness, pace, striving…
He says, ‘Be still and know that I am God.’ (Psalm 46:10)
He breathes upon us this year and calls us into this time of open doors.
He IS the door (John 10:9), and yet there are also open doors before us. We use our breath, our decrees to open those set before us. Call them open; call them forth. We use our breath to call them forth, with our words, so don’t waste your breath…
But first He says, ‘Come up here’ (Rev 4:1).
22-02-2022: The year of mirrors.
Who you spend time with, you will become more like.
What you gaze at, you will reflect.
What you focus on you will magnify…
What, Who, Where are you reflecting?
‘For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.’ (1 Corinthians 13:12)
‘Spiegl im spiegl’ is a beautiful piece of music composed by Arvo Pärt. The name translates ‘mirror in the mirror’.
Stop a moment, listen, and contemplate the majesty of the gift found in John 20:22 where Jesus breathes upon the disciples, giving them the Holy Spirit:
‘And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” ’
Stop, breathe and receive…
The recording runs for 10:10 min.
‘I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.’ (John 10:10)
Contemplate.
Jesus is the profound gift, upon gift, upon gift, upon gift upon gift.
I hope you enjoy.

Yes, that is a good piece. I visualized the piano as the days of life going by – mostly uniform – an occasional excitement or new level of things. The violin was like the Holy Spirit talking to us – transcending the days – yet in the days. The message was of a quietness and a peace in life and for life – even if the activities or disciplines of life are more agitated. It was neat. Thank you Beth.
How beautiful Donald 🎻I’m so glad you enjoyed it 🌸
Hi Donald
Thank you for sharing what this time of quietness was like for you. I love how you said the piano as like the days but the violin like the Holy Spirit – such beautiful insight 🌟🎻🎹
